Dawn Farm Addiction and Recovery Education Series

Nov 20, 2013

“Intervention” was presented on Tuesday, November 19, 2013; by Debra Jay; Intervention specialist, chemical dependency therapist and trainer, and best-selling co-author of “Love First: A New Approach to Intervention for Alcoholism and Drug Addiction” and other books. Intervention can be a highly effective technique for initiating the recovery process in individuals suffering from chemical dependency. Through the intervention process, people who care can learn how to use love and honesty to break through the denial that keeps a person with addiction locked in the downward spiral of his/her disease and create a moment of clarity that allows a person with addiction to accept help.  This program describes how the “Love First” process of Intervention can help chemically dependent people find recovery. Key elements of the “Love First” intervention model developed by Jeff and Debra Jay are discussed. This program by a dynamic, highly experienced speaker will bring PRACTICAL INFORMATION, HELP and HOPE to anyone who cares about a chemically dependent person, and to anyone who wants to learn more about the intervention process. This program is part of the Dawn Farm Education Series, a FREE, annual workshop series developed to provide accurate, helpful, hopeful, practical, current information about chemical dependency, recovery, family and related issues.  The Education Series is organized by Dawn Farm, a non-profit community of programs providing a continuum of chemical dependency services.
